From Detroit News:
Trenton ― Environmental advocates and two local politicians are pushing for the passage of polluter pay laws in Michigan in the wake of two high-profile pollution incidents in Metro Detroit.
“We must have stronger laws to hold polluters financially accountable,” said Christy McGillivray, legislative and political director of Sierra Club Michigan Chapter, at a press conference Thursday in Trenton. “The health of Michiganders and the health of our Great Lakes is on the line.”
